Unfortunately a lot of my friends and family members are dealing with high levels of smoke in the air due to all of the forest fires in their area. We’ve been dealing with some smoky days in Portland this year as well. So I wanted to share a few quick tips on how you can support your overall health and wellness at this time, and more specifically support your respiratory system and immune system.
First: Use a diffuser with pure Young Living essential oils. My favorite oils to diffuse to clean the air are Thieves, RC, and Purification. When you use a diffuser, it helps freshen the air in your home. The diffused oils are fine enough to lower dust, dirt, and debris to the floor, making it easier to breathe, and it smells really good! All three of these oils come in our Premium Starter Kit.
Second: I also like to put essential oils on my chest to support my respiratory system. You can apply to oils directly to the chest or use a carrier oil such as Young Living’s V6 Oil, olive oil, coconut oil, or almond oil. My favorite oils for respiratory support are:
- RC – short for Respiratory Care ( a blend of cypress, spruce, and three types of eucalyptus)
Another option is using our Breathe Again Roller Ball. This is wonderful blend that is already mixed with a carrier oil. It comes with a roller ball top so you can apply it directly to your chest.
Third: One last tip, I also like using pure Peppermint essential oil. I one drop under my tongue to open up and soothe my sinuses – so good!
